Compassion and child sponsorship has been on my mind a lot lately. It was one of the things I focused on in my breakout sessions at Transformed, I just wrote letters to our sponsored children today, and I’m scheduled for a call with a Compassion Advocate tomorrow. I have filled out paperwork and am working on becoming an official Compassion Advocate. I wanted to share with you one of the things we do to remind us to pray for our sponsored children. You know the saying, “Out of sight; out of mind”. Well the opposite should be true then. “In plain sight; in the forefront of your mind.” We keep our children’s photos framed and displayed in the center of our home.
As an added touch the flag from our child’s country is displayed as well. These photos currently are on our entryway table so we see them frequently during the day. It’s a great visual reminder to pray for Mwajuma and Fai. I would encourage you to keep your child’s photo somewhere where you will see it frequently. Place it in a nice frame and give it a place of honor among your family photos.
