IMG_8741 copyHello and Welcome!  I wear many hats:  wife, mom, photographer, Compassion Advocate, Operation Christmas Child Volunteer, church administrative assistant, friend.  Finding balance in all of that can sometimes be a challenge

This blog began as a place to share ideas about living a simpler life.  What would happen if we worked to distance ourselves from the consumer-driven culture that we live in?  What if we seriously began to put God’s words to work in our life to serve “the least of these”?  What would that look like and how much could our lives be changed?

Like my life, it is a work in progress.  There is always something new to learn and apply to life.  But like a favorite song lyric I’ve heard recently….”I’m not where I want to be, but I’m not where I used to be!”

  1. Hi Heidi,
Jambo! Jay and Krista here! We are not on Facebook so we feel a little “our of the loop” but found your blog through our daughter’s facebook. We love seeing and reading your blog about the amazing experiences in Tanzania. Thanks for sharing! The children are never far from our hearts and prayers. We don’t know if you are emailing pictures, but if so, we would love to receive some from you.
The day spent at TZ 556 was so impactful. So very glad that Stephanie is sponsoring Anna, such a God-moment. We don’t know how to process a lot from our trip, but think that you have the right idea: journal/blog.
    Keep blogging!
    Love, Krista and Jay
